Position Summary
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Functions
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions in the US and UK; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Handles pre-employment screenings.
  • Manage the on-boarding process including scheduling new hire orientation, E-Verify and working with managers on the training schedule for new hires.
  • Assist with the off-boarding process and update the data in the HRIS system.
  • Sends the communications across the company about new hires, service milestones and surveys.
  • Schedules and conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs for the US and UK.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, all types of leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handles and processes the US bi-weekly payroll and HRIS system. May assist with the UK payroll.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration preferred or equivalent work experience
