Job Summary:
This position contributes to the Company's success managing all transactions related to vendor payments, including but not limited to:  vendor invoice processing, confirming three way match is complete, reconciliation of discrepancies, AP inquiries and ensuring payments are completed timely and statements are addressed.  Attention to detail is mandatory.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Match purchase orders to invoices ensuring three way match is complete
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
  • Reconcile company credit card statements, coding expenses properly
  • Process payments to vendors
  • Receive, verify and process expense reimbursements to employees
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements; maintain vendor database
  • Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the A/P function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
  • Preparation of annual 1099s
  • Any other duties, such as filing, or special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or VP.
Requirements:
  • A.S. or B.S. in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience, in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, general mathematics skills, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Accurate data entry with high speed and efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal, time-management, listening and written communication skills
  • Operate with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and voicemail
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Strong General Ledger Knowledge
  • Multi-site with multi-currency knowledge preferred

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and respond well to customers, partners and colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Solution driven individual that can understand root cause of issues, recommend solutions, and drive the solution to improve process accuracy.
