Our Guildford Operations is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team.

What does Project Accountant do?

  1. Records monthly revenue for projects and contracts.
  2. Performs monthly review and analysis of projects, including the review of revenue recognition, unbilled and deferred revenue, and cash position.
  3. Ensures that invoicing, write offs and adjustments are reviewed, approved, and properly documented.
  4. Works directly with project managers and business development to ensure all invoicing and billing activities are completed timely and accurately.
  5. Performs month end close activities, including but not limited to, revenue reconciliation, unbilled and deferred revenue reconciliations, and additional tasks and/or reconciliations, as required.
  6. Other accounting duties as required

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Self-starter and finisher with high energy and a positive attitude who is highly goal and result orientated, someone who can prioritize tasks and pursue several objectives simultaneously. A solution driven person that can understand the root cause of issues, recommend solutions and drive this through to improve process accuracy.  Someone who gains support from different collaborations and treats colleagues at all levels with respect. This Person will ideally have  a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or  the equivalent  education/experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and voicemail
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Experience with project accounting and manufacturing
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding service-based contracts preferred
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent education/experience.
